Work Life Balance

In the words of a client . . .

“Before coaching with Kathy Lee, I definitely had an issue with work/life balance. I would tell myself (and my family) one thing (i.e., I will be home for dinner), and yet be late for dinner repeatedly. This caused some friction between myself and my wife, to a point where she was not happy with my career choice at all. I believe this is the area where I was able to gain the most benefit. I am able to approach my work/life balance in a much more healthy way, and this has resulted in me being able to spend better quality time with my family, which in turn has helped me out at work as it is now easier for me to see a longer term career with[the firm] despite the ever increasing expectations and responsibilities.

“As a result, I am much better at managing expectations for both work and family. I believe my actions also serve as a positive influence/example to my peers and subordinates, and I am able to build a positive working environment as a whole.

“In brief, Kathy helped me clarify what is important to me at work and at home, establish my priorities based on my values, set reasonable expectations and boundaries at work and at home, align my actions with my goals and priorities, experiment with new behaviors, restore a sense of peace of mind about my career choice, improve quality time with my family, set a balanced example for peers and subordinates.”--  SE, Tax Manager from Japan working in United States, top tier professional services firm
